We believe exceptional outcomes are achieved through collaboration. Our model mirrors human healthcare—where veterinarians guide medical care and licensed physical therapists focus on movement, recovery, and function.
We are proud to combine our expertise in canine rehabilitation with a deep passion for animal care. This allows us not only to assist dogs recovering from surgery, but also to improve mobility, quality of life, and functional independence as they age or recover from injury.
Our therapists hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree and have completed extensive post-graduate training in canine rehabilitation. As physical therapists, we follow a healthcare model similar to human medicine—where the physician establishes medical need and diagnosis, while therapy focuses on restoring movement and function.
This structure allows us to concentrate on what we specialize in: movement science, biomechanics, therapeutic modalities, hands-on treatments, and progressive exercise programs—all while empowering pet parents with education and home-based care strategies.
Communication is a cornerstone of this relationship. We maintain open, ongoing contact with our patients’ veterinarians to provide progress updates and ensure timely medical follow-up if concerns arise.
Section 1500.49 of the Illinois Veterinary Practice Act allows veterinarians and qualified professionals—such as physical therapists trained in canine rehabilitation—to collaborate in delivering the highest standard of care to pets in Illinois.
To comply with this regulation, we are required to keep on file a referral form for each patient that establishes a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) along with an appropriate medical diagnosis.
We’ve streamlined this process to respect your time. Please use one of the options provided to submit a referral.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us at any time with questions or concerns. We value collaboration and appreciate the trust you place in our team.
